I have known Sue since she began working at the VA and it was always a pleasure to be around her. I offer my condolences and prayers for the family and close friends, but know that Sue is in a much better place than we are. We will see her smiling face again one day.

I am so sorry to hear of Sues passing. I wasn’t aware she had been ill. I worked with her for many years at Healthsouth. She was one of a kind, a compassionate nurse, and a joy to work with! I know she will be missed by all that knew her. I can taste her salsa as I write.

Sue I will miss you so much…you were a good friend and a great nurse…you showed me so much when I first started working at the VA…sure you seemed rough to me but I knew you were not…We became friends…going to breakfast on Saturday mornings after working all night…When I went to visit you and took a special poem to you (I don’t write poems), you told me I did not know you…I did not know your life but how did I know you so well to express you in a poem? I told you I may not have known you but GOD does and I was just a vessel to express to you how much of a “Strong Woman” you were….You will be missed here on earth but I know you will always be here in spirit…

I worked with Sue for a little over 2 years on night shift at the VA Hospital. I rembember Sue, as always having a smile, being thoughtful, and a wonderful cook. Sue was always taking care of not just us CNA’s , but her patients as well. Sue was a wonderful RN Nurse, she had a great bedside manner with the patients, and she was always protected of not just us CNA’s but of her patients as well. She was upfront & no nonsense. I will very much miss Sue. I ran into her quite often at Cracker Barrell in Springdale, she always said it was one of her best places to eat.

So sad to have lost another dear friend. I met “chu-chu Sue” years ago on Dickson St. She was always good for a smile and a great tale. A wonderful and caring nurse and the VA will miss her expertise. My heart and prayers to her family. She is loved and will be missed by many friends.

I am sorry to have lost a “sister” and dear friend to cancer. I enjoyed talking with her about our health, patient issues, rhythm recognition, and our vacations. I will remember a smiling, hugging, laughing friend all the rest of my life. May God’s peace be with all of you as I know she is at peace.

I have known Sue for years. We previously worked together at HealthSouth. Then, one night about 7 years ago, when I was on call and had to come in to see a patient at VA – I was so pleasantly surprised to see Sue here at VA! We rekindled our friendship. She was a pleasure and a hoot. I will greatly miss her.
