James Edward “Ed” Watson June 17, 1940 ~ September 7, 2012

James Edward “Ed” Watson, 72, of Elkins passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 in Elkins.  He was born June 17, 1940 in Low Gap, Arkansas the son of John O. and Virginia Fine Watson.

Ed was a born again Christian and loved to share his testimony with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Lee Drennon and Beck Evenger.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Watson of the home; his children, Ben E. Watson and wife, Pearl of Kansas City, MO, Amelia Kincade and husband, Kevin of Liberty, MO and Brian Watson and wife, Michelle of West Fork, AR; 2~brothers, Ray Watson of Pleasant Valley, MO and L.D. Watson of Elkins, AR; 2~sisters, Jenny Koch of Springdale and Louise Stewart of Elkins; 6~grandchildren, Tiffany Taylor, Cody Watson, Mathew Plieseis, Alyssa Watson, Dawn Wendlyn and Maurice Lyles and 4~great-granchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Pinnacle Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5~7 PM Monday at the funeral home.

    Judy our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. We loved Ed so very much. We will be forever grateful for his love and friendship. He was truly a wonderful man. So many memories of hunting and spending time with him. He was always there for me when I needed him. He will not be forgotten.
