Alma I am so sorry for the loss of your great husband. David was an amazing man and he was always a joy to talk with. He told me a few weeks ago how we were blood related again, but I think David could get to know, and be friends, with anyone just based on how nice he was and how good of a listener he was, after all I got to know him in the Market just by chance, just because, he was so respectful and courteous to everyone around him- he never got in the way of us when I’d be pulling a heavy pallet of potatoes down the aisle, or when I’d be pushing a long chain of shopping carts up the hill, he stop his vehicle way back, as to not have to make me stop on the hill. He understood what hard work was and he was one of the few people that would do this. He was extremely intelligent and a very hard working and honest man that will be missed by all of us. He was well liked by everyone. He always went out of his way to say hi to me no matter where he was at. He’d be in a long line at the Neighborhood market and see me over in the produce area and he’d walk over just to say hi and loose his place in line. I want you to know that everyone is hear for you and he is in a better place now and we will see him again someday.

Alma, Brenda, and the entire family. Kim and I are deeply saddened by David’s passing. Alma, heaven gained a great saint. I know all his friends and family and church congregation members will miss him dearly. It was an honor to know him and his walk with Christ. May you be encouraged during this time of loss, but know “His hand reached further down, then I could reach up.” I will always remember David requesting that song.
