Richard Steven Luhrs, October 28, 1973~October 22, 2014
He was born October 28, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1983 and was proud to call Fayetteville home. He loved duck hunting, riding around in his jeep with the top off, and meeting up with his buddies for a round of golf. He was also an avid, outspoken Hogs and Steelers fan and anyone that knew him knows how intense he was! Richard was passionate about helping others and saving lives. He served proudly as a firefighter and EMT over the years at the Johnson and Nob Hill Fire Departments.
Richard leaves behind his 6 year old little “pumpkin” Madison. He was the proudest father and so in love with his little girl. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Robin and Norman Weiss of Winslow; wife, Megan Luhrs of Springdale; 6 brothers and sisters, Tiffani Pollio of Plantation, FL.; Lisa Luhrs of Farmington; Kari Zink of Pea Ridge; Frankie Navarro of Fayetteville; David Navarro of West Fork; and Nikki Navarro of Prairie Grove; 8 nieces and nephews, Emily, Ryan, Nyle, Brayden, Mady, Kalieb, Steven and Ricky; as well as countless other family members and friends that he considered family.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 3-5 pm at Beard’s Chapel.
