Where do you start? Buddy was solid gold. He loved life – he loved his family, he loved all of us with a passion and a zeal that I have never experienced from any other. It’s a very empty feeling to lose him, but I’m sure Buddy is telling us right now to live a full life – reach your dreams and smile along the way. If we are truly judged by what we do for others then Buddy is the king because that is what he was all about. I love you my cousin – we will all miss you. “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true Buddy’s will leave footprints in your heart.”

My deepest sympathy on the loss of Buddy. I remember he was the first peron to really accept me when I moved to Farmington for my junior and senior year of high school. We became fast friends. I will always remember him as a trusted friend, fellow band geek, and an amazingly nice guy. RIP my friend..

There are not enough words or space provided to describe what a wonderful person Buddy was. In short his name “Buddy” says it all. I am deeply saddened at the loss of a good friend. But saddened even deeper for his children and families loss. Buddy was sure of his salvation so there is no doubt where he is today.

Buddy, Cindy, Charity & Kennedy were the first new friends we made after moving to AR in 2005. Then sweet Kobe arrived & added more blessings. Some people come along & add a ‘thread’ to the tapestry of life. Then there is the Hawkins family whose love, encouragement, support, smiles, hugs, friendship & amazing faith add strong fiber that binds us to them.
Sarah & I love you all so much!! And are praying for your comfort.

There’s no words I can say to help through this very difficult time. I remember Buddy being such a kind person. We were in band together and being a small band we were all close. He never had a bad thing to.say to anyone but he came about that honest. The whole Hawkins family is the sweetest people you can meet. I’m thinking about you all and praying for comfort.

Buddy had an amazing talent to encourage. No matter the situation he could smile and find the right words to make you feel good about yourself and give you that needed boost to go on. I only worked with Buddy a short time but knew where to find that lift when needed. I wished I had the words for Pat & Jeff and family that could make you feel the same as Buddy could. But the legacy he leaves in the lives he touched will be with you forever — along with wonderful memories. I am praying for your comfort.

My Condolences to the family and friends of Roy (Buddy) Hawkins.
Many knew Buddy better than I, but I wish to write a few lines about this special young man that we lay to rest today. I met him near twenty years working together as quality inspectors. Sometimes after work we would go with coworkers and play a round of golf. He always gave me a hard time over my poor golf game. But, those were some dark times in my personal life and the games were a bright spot that helped me through the darkness. As he went into management and move up the ladder he never lost that personal touch. When I would meet him, no matter his personal or professional problems, he always managed a smile and a kind word. Sometime we would talk about those games. Those were special times and the highlight of my day. I watched him grow as a man, dealing with problems that would bring any man to his knees, with pride. The day I retired he gave me a big heart felt manly hug and as we talked he again made me feel special and assuring me that if I needed anything he was only a phone call away.
Buddy, I will never see a golf ball or club without thinking of you. If I start golfing again each game will be remembering you. When I get to the other side I want a rematch golf game and maybe, then we can both keep our balls out of the hazers. You will never know how many souls you have touched.
May you rest in peace with you wife Cynthia.
    Your friend forever,
    Less Carroll

… I have meet very little persons in my life that speak with so much pride and heartwarming love of their kids as Buddy did … for Charity, Kennedy and Koby Ryan, your Dad was a true gentlemen, smart engineer and negotiator, but first and foremost … a proud Dad.

His peers down here in Mexico are in debt and will sorely miss him …

As I write this, I’m sitting outside the church where friends & family of this beautiful family are gathered to pay their last respects to Buddy. I’m listening to the Ray Charles CD Buddy gave me years ago when we worked together. The sky is blue & the grass is green, just like he always said it was. Yet today the colors just don’t seem as vivid knowing I’ll never get another chance to visit with my friend or hug his big ol’neck or reply to last email he sent me.
I can say in all honesty, knowing Buddy & Cindy, was not only a privilege, my life & that of my family are better off for having known them. My deepest sympathies & heartfelt prayers go out to each of you.
