Ruby Marie James McCoy, November 23, 1912~December 9, 2014

McCoy, Ruby - CopyRuby Marie James McCoy, 102, of West Fork went to be with the good Lord surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville.  She was born November 23, 1912 in Booneville, AR. to Tom and Leona Mae Fitzgerald James.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Theron McCoy; her parents; brothers, Arvil and Theodore James; sister, Agnes Inez Barton; daughter, Ruby Faye Rogers; son, Edgar Lee McCoy; and infant, Linda Marie McCoy who died at birth.

She loved to garden and quilt.

She is survived by a daughter, Clara Smithson and husband, Billy of Winslow; daughter, Pat Cody and husband, Robert of West Fork; and daughter, Dorothy McCoy of Nevada, MO.; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and thirty-six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Baptist Ford Church in Greenland with Pastor Eric Howerton officiating.  Interment will follow in Baptist Ford Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

There is no scheduled visitation.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willard Walker Hospice Home for the wonderful care of Ms. Ruby and her family.
