Hand, Sarah for WebsiteSarah Frances Hand, 87, of Prairie Grove, formerly of Farmington, died March 27, 2015 at her home. She was born March 7, 1928 in Blackton, Arkansas to William Monroe and Oma Ada Kennedy Caldwell. She was a member of Farmington First Church of the Nazarene where she served on the church board. She was also a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brad William Hand; son-in-law, Charlie Edward Webb; six brothers; and nine sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Webb and Darlene Shelton, both of Prairie Grove; two brothers, Jim Bo Caldwell and Alfred Rogers, both of Marianna, AR.; four sisters, Ernestine Bailey of Sheridan; Doris Wheeler of Newark; Patricia Davidson of Ward, AR.; and Betty Rowton of Lonoke; three grandchildren, Sarah Jean Higgins; Candice Renee Hembree; and Courtney Nichols; eight great- grandchildren, Megan Webb; Carl Bradley Hembree; Keegen Nichols; Sara Hembree; Kolten Nichols; Jaxon Nichols; Amber Higgins; and Brittney Higgins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Farmington First Church of The Nazarene with Pastor Pat Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

    So sorry for your loss. I felt like I knew her from hearing so much about her from you Darlene. I know she will be greatly missed. I loved the veggies she gave me from her garden.
