Rodney Wayne Van Hoozen, November 3, 1960~June 5, 2015

Rodney Wayne Van Hoozen, 54, of Elkins, died June 5, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. He was born November 3, 1960 in Bakersfield, California to Howard Willie and Wonda Mae Simmons Glass.

Rodney was a carpenter and he built several log homes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.

He is survived by his life companion of 30 years, Charlotte Cooke; one son, Kevin Van Hoozen of Elkins; daughter, Shannon Vargas of Hemet, California; two brothers, Howard Van Hoozen and Kevin Van Hoozen, both of Bakersfield, California; sister, Regina Van Hoozen of Jackson, Mississippi; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Huffman officiating.

    Charlotte,

    I know that this is a very difficult time for you. I have been through this kind of situation myself. I know that everything is scary and things don’t seem like they make sense right now, but you will be OK.
