I am sorry for the lose of a well loved son, brother, father, and uncle. I pray for peace for is loved ones. It is never easy to lose the ones we love. Larry was loved by many and losing him will leave a empty place in our hearts. But I think Larry would want us to fill that empty space with those that need our love. In his honor I pledge to be a better person and to love more freely. God bless you Larry.

When I was growing up, I thought fellow Baldwinite Larry Garriott was larger than life. He was a big, strong guy…with a wonderful personality…could be a fun rascal at times…and had just the coolest car ever…an orange Judge. He dearly loved his family and was a true, loyal friend to all. I’m especially thankful for Larry and Rocky’s love and tolerance of my rascal brother Johnie. God bless you and your family, Larry, rest in peace, dear friend.

James, you and Jason have not left my thoughts for a moment. I know you are exhausted, and on auto pilot. Please know that I love you dearly and continue to pray your sorrows can be lightened a bit by remembering what a great Daddy you had, ad how much love and laughter he gave you. This is honestly not a total goodbye. You have to learn how to communicate in a different method. The love that your Father gave to you is airing in your heart, and you can access it whenever you need it. Nothing can take that kind of love away.

    Rocky and family,
I am so sorry to have missed Larry’s funeral today. I had meant to go, but, got distracted with other family issues. No excuse, though. Mama and I sincerely send our condolences on your loss, both for Larry and Carlos.

I remember spending many a summer day playing football, riding horses and generally running wild with Larry and several other neighborhood boys here at the farm. He was a corker and always good for an exaggerated story or two. And always ready with a smile. Always trying to charm the girls.

Rocky, if you or any of your family need anything, please do not hesitate to call on us. We still live here on the old chicken farm. Or just come by for a visit.

Dear family of Larry Garriott: Please accept my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy on the loss of you’re dear loved one. Death is such a tragedy for all of us, and when it touches us personally, it’s sometimes difficult to find the comfort that we search for. Our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah, who is the God of all comfort, feels empathy for those who have lost a loved one in death, and therefore promises to swallow up death forever and eliminate all pain and suffering. (Please read Revelation 21:4 and Isaiah 25:8) Jesus gave even more reason for hope at John 5:28,29 where he explains: “…all those in the memorial tombs…will come out…” As you read the above texts in you’re Bible, may they give you hope and comfort, during this most difficult time. Again, my deepest sympathy. David Cowles
