Shannon Keopulani Estrada, November 21, 1970~December 29, 2015

Shannon Estrada was a big heart in a 5’3 Hawaiian-Korean body.  She had many friends that depended on her for advice, a hug and her love.  She did not judge anyone for their faults and loved despite them.  Shannon was married to Fernando “Rana” for 15 years.  She frequently said “I love my short man, I love my Rana”.  She loved her three children without reservation-Savannah, Persaphone and Harley B. and she loved me, her mom.  We called her the “Duck” and we would text “Quack” back and forth.  She also had a little brown soulmate, her chihuahua Dexter.  Shannon was loved by her friends who she considered as sisters-Ladonna, Renee, Shanna, Tanja and Little Linda to mention a few.  Her good friend Shane was also in her heart.  Shannon was a college student, aunt, mother, wife and fixer of everything.  She used  to say she was the glue of the family, and she was.  She kept everything together.  Shannon was my daughter, my only child, my heart and my soul.  If you knew Shannon, chances are you loved her and were loved back.  If you  never met her, I’m sorry you missed-out.  You would have loved her, too.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 P.M.  Monday, January 4, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville.  Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until service-time at the church.

For those of you who knew my Tia Shannon, know me she was asked by me in November of 2010 to take my oldest children. I knew they would have a life that I could never have imagined giving them. I knew how exceptionally well she would do with them seeing how well her oldest daughter has thrived. We used to have a little inside joke, but not really, I would tell her how I couldn’t have chose a better “baby mama” for our babies, many nights we cried about it together.

My Tia was God send to me when I was a kid, and I knew I could count on her to raise our kids with love, and stability …something I could never do.

To my Nanie & Grandpa Laine you guys couldn’t have created, & molded a better person! I didn’t say this nearly enough, but I know you’ll look down, & and smile when I say I love you mamas, & this world is lacking without you here.

With deepest of heart, I give condolences to each of my dearest friend’s family members. Truly I will tell you that Shannon was a dear friend, loving mother & wife. Shannon gave her all to anyone who needed live, friendship, counsel, and comfort. I can’t tell you how many times Shannon was there for me. And how much I appreciate and treasured each moment we shared. I thank God & Jesus Christ for blessing me with the honor of meeting such a beautiful spirit. I pray that her family may know that the Lord knows their sorrow and that He will comfort them as they face this moment of loss. May the windows of heaven be open upon Shannon’s loving family & friends. I truly miss you my homegurl and I love you always!!

Shannon was the glue and will still remain just that! Her personality and heart far surpasses anyone else’s that I have ever met. I talk to her often but will miss her presence badly! We love her so very much and I am sorry for anyone that never had the pleasure to meet her.
    Forever Loved ♥

Many years ago when Shannon was in high school she dated my son. She even came to stay with me for a short while. She had the biggest heart and was always upbeat. We’ve kept in touch via Facebook and I enjoyed her many post and pictures. I am very sadden by her loss and sending prayers to her husband, children and parents. I hope remembering her big smile and large heart will help you get thru this difficult time. May God bless all of you.
