So sorry to hear of Helen’s passing…she was a wonderful caring lady. She was the caregiver for my mother Ms. Mattie Black for several years. Ms Mattie thought the world of Helen, loved her fried potatoes and sweet potato casserole. Prayers for her family.

Janet, Connie and Mike I am so sad to hear this. Had a letter from her not long ago and I was encouraged to think she might be doing better. Sherri and I are thinking of all of you.

They broke the mold after Helen! She was definately a one of a kind lady. I loved her so very much and with all the pain and suffering that I saw her going through it’s clear that she is in a far better place…..she had visited “this place” on VLENTINES DAY 2014 briefly when she had taken a bad fall and during surgery found herself in HEAVEN with Jesus telling her she could not stay. My husband Johnny Bell had approached her asking if she knew who he was and with him walking (he had lived his life using a wheelchair) and with the youth having been restored, she said “No, should I?” He kicked her in the leg (her injured leg!!!) and told her “I’m Johnny Bell, I want you to give Maxine a message, tell her I love her, I miss her and I’m doing great!” Johnny had died November 8, 2013. This “dream” or actual visit to heaven we don’t know but when she told me I felt it was a real visit. She deserved a real visit! She wanted all her friends to get themselves ready to go to heaven!

    We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
    You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

    You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

    Our family chain is broken,
    And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
    The chain will link again.
