Carolyn Gail Moore Hagler, March 25, 1937~September 29, 2016
A celebration of her life will be held at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
Carolyn was born on March 25, 1937. She was raised in Cyril, Oklahoma and was a lifetime resident of Lawton. She worked as a hairdresser and crafter for many years and owned and operated Nana’s Attic in Medicine Park. She and her husband owned and operated Big Chef Restaurant in Lawton until its closing in 2016. She enjoyed sewing and crafting and won many State Fair awards for her creations that were sold all over the U.S. She loved traveling in her RV, and camping at the lake where she hosted many 4th of July celebrations. She was an avid animal activist and was known for her care of the wild ducks and geese.
Carolyn is survived by her 5 children, Debra Walker and husband, Garry Walker of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Darla Waid and husband, Carter Waid of Duncan, Oklahoma, Donald Hanson and wife, Mary Hanson of Lawton, Oklahoma, David Jordan of Hugo, Oklahoma and April Diffee and partner, Donnie Ward of Lawton, Oklahoma; stepchildren, Charlotte Stephens, Lewis Hagler and wife, Jan and Carolynn Hill Smith; 25 grandchildren; and 31 great- grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Trevor Hagler; parents, Helen and Howard Moore; sister, Patsy Heinz; brother, Billy Moore; daughter- in- law, Debbie Jordan; niece, Katheryn Gideon; and granddaughter, Stephanie Craley.
Carolyn was a giving and beautiful woman inside and out. She will be remembered not only for a beauty and crafting talent but the energy she brought to many family celebrations which will live in the memories of her children and grandchildren for many years to come.
