David “Turbo” Wayne Thurber, October 15, 1949~December 27, 2016

thurber-for-paper-copyDavid “Turbo” Wayne Thurber, 67, of Winslow passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Little Rock. He was born October 15, 1949 in Sulphur Springs, TX. to Leroy and Leona Courtney Thurber.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the U.S. Marines; he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans; and a member of the NRA. David worked in the automobile industry for over 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Thurber and his wife, Mary Thurber.

He is survived by his mother, Leona Akers of Winslow; a son, Michael Thurber of Ward, AR. and a brother, Alan Thurber of Winslow.

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Ed Cowan officiating.

    A message to the family of David Thurber to express my sympathy in the death of David. I haven’t seem him in years but we had some good times together as kids with other cousins. I will always remember them & I will pray for the comfort & peace that only God can & will provide for each of you. God Bless You All as you mourn his loss.
