Evelyn Marie Anderson, April 28, 1933~February 3, 2018
She was born April 28, 1933 in Navarre, KS. to Joseph and Pauline Schuster Stroda.
She graduated from Hope, KS. High School and later married her high school sweetheart, Glenn Anderson on October 6, 1952.
She, her husband and her four oldest children moved from Kansas to Arkansas in 1957. The remaining six children were born in Arkansas.
Evelyn was a kind, gentle, caring, dedicated Mom, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. In addition she was a homemaker, chicken farmer, gardener, fisherman, Razorback Fan, golfer, traveler to many states, whale watcher on Maui, #1 fan at her family’s sporting events, and awesome maker of Fried Chicken. Her family and friends were very important to her and she loved spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Glenn Anderson; two brothers, Maurice & Leroy Stroda; and a granddaughter, Angela Thompson.
Survivors include seven sons and six daughters- in-law, Mike and Marlene Anderson of Springdale, Greg and Martha Anderson of Fayetteville, Steve Anderson of West Fork, Dennis and Jackie Anderson of West Fork, Jerry and Tracy Anderson of Fayetteville, Gary and Denise Anderson of Fayetteville and Pat and Sherry Anderson of West Fork; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lynette Cranfill of Fayetteville, Sandy and Keith Thompson of West Fork, and Barb and Rick Ayers of Panama City Beach, FL; 27 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with a rosary to follow at 7:15 p.m. with Deacon Dan Daily officiating.
A funeral mass to honor and celebrate her life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville with Fr. Jason Tyler officiating.
Burial will follow in Mineral Springs Cemetery in West Fork.
Pallbearers will be her seven sons.

The family would like to thank the staff of Morningside of Fayetteville for the wonderful care over the last 5 ½ years; and the staff at the Willard Walker Hospice Home for her, being so helpful and compassionate in her final days.
