Dovie Ora “Taylor” McFadden, 82, of Prairie Grove, AR passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 in Fayetteville. She was born March 19, 1931 in Electra, Texas the daughter of Joseph H. and Ida Jane Frazier Taylor.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Allen Leroy McFadden; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her children, Elizabeth Kluthe (John) of St Charles, MO, Randall McFadden (Ruth) of Bristow, OK, Robert McFadden of Lincoln, AR and Allen McFadden of Arkansas; 1~sister, Mary Hardin (Joe) of Springdale, AR; sister/niece Katie Morgan, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1-great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 17, 2014 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Jack Thompson and Mike Hardin officiating. Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2~4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Willard Walker Hospice House.
Charlie Edward Webb, 69, of West Fork passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Springfield, MO. He was born January 11, 1945 in Marianna, Arkansas the son of Fred and Florence Dorothy Bell Webb.
He retired from the United States Army.
Preceded in death by his parents, 1~brother, Donald Webb.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Jean Webb of the home; 1~daughter, Sarah Jean Higgins and husband, Michael of West Fork; 4~sisters, Judy Vandiver of Batesville, AR, Sharon Madison of El Dorado, AR, Glenda Spencer of El Dorado, AR and Mildred Forte` of Atoka, TN; 1~granddaughter, Megan Webb of West Fork; 2~adopted grandchildren, Amber Higgins and Brittney Higgins; his mother-in-law, Sarah Hand of Farmington; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at First Baptist Church in West Fork with Pastor Heath Clowers and Rev. Russell Kelley officiating.
Burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5~7 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
Earl Dean Johnson, JR, 57, of Elkins passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 in Elkins. He was born June 19, 1956 in Anchorage, Alaska the son of Earl Dean, SR and Janet Rhea Morrow Johnson.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkins and owner of Edge Transportation, served in the United States Marine Corp.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Johnson of Thompson, IL, wife, Phyllis Johnson of the home; 7, children, Carole Johnson of Clinton, Iowa, Tammy Johnson of Holland, MI, Cynthia Stewart of Clinton, Iowa, Beth Matje, Jared of Clinton, Iowa, Karrie Blevins of Columbus, Ohio, Emily and Rachel Johnson both of the home; 7, grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 24, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Elkins with Pastor Rex Griffin officiating.
Interment will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Cremation arrangements are by Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.
Dolsa Marie Stinson, 93, of Elkins passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her home.
She was born January 16, 1920 in Yeager, Oklahoma the daughter of Wesley and Alta Naoma Atterberry Sapp.
She was a homemaker and member of the Living Faith Church in Fayetteville.
Preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Howard Stinson and daughter, Naomi Jean Silva.
Dolsa was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and also spent her life as a devoted wife of a minister, which kept her life very busy with church, and her family.
Survivors include her children, Troy Stinson and wife, Hilda of Elkins and Carolyn Heden of Spokane, Washington; 6~grandchildren; 15~great-grandchildren and 9~great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 3, 2014 at Living Faith Church in Fayetteville with Reverend Buel Curtis officiating.
Burial will be Desert Lawn Cemetery in Calimasa, California

Robert “Dean” (Wilson) Wilcoxen passed away December 4, 2013 after a long illness. Dean was born February 22, 1931 in the back room of the old Durham, Arkansas schoolhouse where his mother, Nora Ethel Brothers-Wilson taught school. His father, Charles Henry Wilson deserted the family before Dean was born. Dean studied genealogy for some time trying to find a link to his father but was never successful. His mother married Joel Carl Wilcoxen in 1935 and left Arkansas for California in 1936 to search for a better living. Dean joined the navy and served on the aircraft carrier USS Randolph during the Korean War. In 1957 he married Mary Carolyn Thornton. They had three children: Raymond Dean Wilcoxen, Steven Louis Wilcoxen and Patricia Lynn Wilcoxen-Chamlee. Raymond is part owner and manager of a surf resort on an island off the coast of Indonesia. Ray is married to Jenny and they have two sons: Dylan Dean and Jayden James; Steven is semi-retired and lives in Fayetteville after spending his career abroad in the Petrochemical business. Patricia married Mike Chamlee 2001 and lives in Fayetteville. Mike and “Tricia” met at Hanna’s Candle Company where they both worked for several years. After living most of his life in California, Dean retired and moved back to his roots in Arkansas. Dean was preceded in death by half-sister, Virginia E. Brothers in 1936; his half-brother, Howard James Hamilton in 1975; and half-sister Jacqueline Brothers-Nixon in 1991. Services will be held at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville on December 18th at 1:00 PM. There will be a gathering of friends from 12:00 to 1:00.
Albert C Baker, 80, of Elkins, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 in Fayetteville. He was born July 26, 1933 in Bentonville, Arkansas the son of Kenneth and Charlotte Tanquary Baker.
Mr. Baker served in the United States Army, attended Edmond Public Schools, Oklahoma A&M, member of the Methodist Church and member of Oklahoma Real Estate Commission.
Preceded in death by his wife, Norma June Baker.
He is survived by 2~sons, Ken Baker and wife, Vicki of Ohio, Terry Baker of Elkins; grandchildren, Jon Baker of Aurora, Colorado and Nichole Baker of Elkins; 1~sister, Dorothy Johnson of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Gerald Dean Gilbert, 62, of Cameron, OK passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at his home. He was born January 6, 1951 in Huntsville, AR the son of Melvin Junior and Ruby Ilene McChristian Gilbert.
He was preceded in death by his father, wife, Kathy LaVerne Gilbert and sister, Melva June Leichner.
Gerald Dean is survived by his mother, Ruby I. Gilbert of Hogeye, AR; daughter, Deann Gray and husband, Gary of Fayetteville; 2~grandchildren, Dylan Gray and Anne Eliot Gray both of Fayetteille, AR; 1~great-grandson, Aiden Gray of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday at Mineral Springs Cemetery in West Fork with Rev. Glen Faulkner officiating.

John D. Roberts, Jr., 85 of Fayetteville passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 in Fayetteville. Born January 8, 1928 in Arvin, California the son of John D. Sr. and Virginia Wallace Roberts.
He served in the United States Army and retired from Northrop Grumman Company.

William C. Phipps, 72, of Bella Vista passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Rogers. He was born April 23, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of William H. and Frances Coon Phipps.
Mr. Phipps served in the United States Air Force; graduate of St Lawrence University, class of 1963; Life member of Military Officers of America. Bill was in the management of Business International for many years and was leader in their projects and seminars. He was well known in the company and in the International Business community.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Phipps of the home; son, William R. Phipps and wife, Stephanie of South Berwick, ME; daughter, Mary Katherine Calloway of Charleston, SC, grandchildren, Jack Allen Calloway of Charleston, SC, Isadora Phipps and Lydia Phipps both of South Berwick, ME; sister, Sally Bussian of Houston, TX; 1st cousin, Peggy Phipps Conlan of Marietta, GA.

John Joseph Beckmann, 87, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Garden View Care Center of O’Fallon, Mo. He was born March 17, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to John Henry Beckmann and Mary Lyons Beckmann. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville and the Knights of Columbus. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Beckmann of the home; one daughter Ellen Burdjak and husband, Dennis, of New York, four sons, John Beckmann Jr. of Florida, Eric Beckmann and wife, Cathy, of Georgia, Keith Beckmann and wife, Joneva, of Missouri, and Robert Beckmann and wife, Amy, of Florida; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. A rosary service will be at 2 p.m. at Beard’s Funeral Chapel Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 4 p.m. A funeral mass will be held noon Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with Father John Antony officiating.
