Joseph Martin Goad, 70, of Winslow died Tuesday July 20, 2010 in Fayetteville. He
was born January 6, 1940 in Brentwood, AR the son of Grover Ardell Goad and Rose
Metrailer Hazen. He retired from the Civil Service. He was a member of the West Fork
Church of Christ, served in the United States Army and also the Air National Guard in
both Kansas and Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Rex Martin Goad and 1-brother,
John Ruben Goad.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anna Goad of the home to whom he married,
August 18, 1961; 2-sons, Alan Goad and wife, Angelia of Winslow and Kirk Goad of
Winslow; 14 Grandchildren, 2-great-grandchildren 1-foster-son, Ron Yancey of
Hogeye, AR; 1-foster daughter, Trina McLeod of Sumter, South Carolina; 1-sister, Ann
Logue of Farmington and 1-aunt, Ruth Turner of Miami, OK; 1-step-sister, Charlene
Long of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Mr.
Charlie Coil officiating. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the West Fork Church of Christ.
