After 14 years, the family of Goldie Marie Gulledge Thornsberry of Fayetteville who
was born May 2, 1930 in Patrick, Arkansas the daughter of Elzie Henry Gulledge and
Mae Jewel Parsley will be able to lay her to rest in the loving arms of her Mommy and
Daddy.
She attended St. Paul Schools and was of the Baptist faith. She was employed by
Campbell Soup Company for 15 years and was preceded in death by her parents and
brothers, Robert W. and Lyle W. Gulledge.
Survivors include 4 children, Robert and his wife, Darlean Thornsberry of Texas,
Barbie Carnes of Fayetteville, Debbie and her husband, Jackie McClure of Fayetteville
and Reta Flowers of Little Rock; sister, Rita Brashears of Clarksville, Gayle Miller of
Hazel Valley, Marylin Ritchie of Crosses, Ellen Davis of Farmington, Karen Lefter of
Clinton; brother, Glen Gulledge of Patrick; sister-in-laws, Essie Gulledge of Kansas
City, MO, Elsie Gulledge of Wichita, KS; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Patrick Cemetery
with Reverend Billy Waggoner officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Beards Funeral Chapel.
The community will have a potluck lunch following services.
