Laura Diane Ammons Toups, 62, of Elkins died Thursday March 25, 2010 in
Fayetteville. She was born April 22, 1947 in Shidler, Oklahoma the daughter of Leo and
Gola May Callaway Ammons.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints in Fayetteville.
She was a registered nurse for over 30 years, helping serve people in both Louisiana
and Arkansas and was a member of Friends of Hospice.
She was the best bossiest big sister and was a very unselfish person, who loved her
family deeply.
She is survived by her fiancée, Gerald Jordan of Elkins, 2-sons, Darin Ogden of Waco,
TX and Mike Ogden of Witter; 1-granddaughter, adopted daughter, Cierra Deann
Ogden of Elkins; 2-brothers, Lonnie Ammons of Fayetteville and Billy Ammons, (Jean)
of Fayetteville; 3-sisters, Johnnie Hatcher, (Dwight) of Hindsville, Katherine Ferguson,
(Allen) of Fayetteville and Lesta Ammons of Tonawanda, New York; 11 grandchildren
and 5-step-children, Ray Toups, Chris Toups, Jennifer Beneditto, Erin Toups and
Beverly Toups.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday March 29, 2010 at Beard’s Funeral
Chapel in Fayetteville with Bishop Mark Wagstaff officiating. Burial will be in Walnut
Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
