Billy E. Brooks, Jr (Bill), 53, of Fayetteville, passed away January 4, 2022 at Circle of Life Hospice.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Bill Brooks, Sr and half-brother Billy Dale Brooks.
He had been struggling with cancer of the lungs since March 20th.
Bill is survived by his mother Betty Baker Brooks of Springdale; his children Billy Brooks III and Bailey Brooks, both of Springdale; his half-sister Deadra “Dede” Parise and her husband Keith of Weston, Florida; and many relatives, co-workers and friends.
Billy was a quiet guy. He never wanted to be involved in other people’s drama. He loved his job as a correctional officer (Corporal Brooks) at NWACCC in Fayetteville. Bill enjoyed camping, canoe trips and going to Branson. He will be so missed and loved but now he rests in peace…pain free from cancer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

I am very sorry for your loss. I did not know Mr. Brooks, but he had a big, positive impact on my son’s Justin’s life. Justin speaks very highly of “Brooks” and will miss him so very much. Brooks and Justin are co-workers and friends. They worked together for, I think 4/5 years now at NWACC.
My prayers are with all of you and anyone fortunate enough to have cross paths with him.
God Bless you all.
So very sorry for your loss. Billy and I went to school together. We graduated in 1987. We worked together years later in Fayetteville and Bentonville.. He was a good friend and he made me laugh all the time. I will miss his sense of humor and his smile.

I am so sorry for your loss and so saddened by this news. I worked with Brooks as a Correctional Officer He trained me, my first day in the control booth. He was the blueprint on how to do it correctly, always professional and always made me laugh. He was my Secret Santa and I was happy I picked his name. He made an everlasting impression on me… My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time!
I am praying for Ms. Betty, Dede, and the rest of the family. You will be greatly missed, Cpl. Brooks. Rest in Peace.
Rest In Peace, brother.
